OneClickSEO (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is built with a privacy-first architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how our Google Chrome extension operates regarding data handling, permissions, and security.
Our principle is simple: your browsing data belongs solely to you. OneClickSEO operates entirely within your client browser and does not send page contents, browsing history, or analytical metrics to any external server.
2Information We Do NOT Collect
OneClickSEO does not collect, record, log, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal Identification Information (Name, Email address, IP address, location).
- Browsing history, visited URLs, page content, or DOM content of websites you visit.
- Form submissions, credentials, cookies, or session storage data.
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or behavior tracking data.
3How On-Page Analysis Works
When you click the OneClickSEO extension icon, the extension temporarily reads the current active tab's HTML document in your browser to inspect meta tags, headings, image alt attributes, links, and schema markup.
This processing occurs 100% in-memory inside your local Chrome browser session. Once you close the popup tab or navigate away, no audit history or cached page data is stored or transmitted anywhere.
4Extension Permissions Explained
To perform SEO checks, Chrome requires specific extension permissions. Here is why each permission is used:
- activeTab / tabs: Allows the extension to inspect the HTML structure of the page you are currently viewing when you click the extension icon.
- scripting / host permissions: Required to extract on-page SEO elements (meta tags, heading hierarchy, links) directly within your active browser tab.
5Third-Party Services & Analytics
OneClickSEO contains zero third-party tracking scripts, analytics tools, or advertising SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook Pixel). We do not display ads and do not share any data with third parties.
